Located in Poughkeepsie, New York, in the former Amrita Club building, The 1912 is a hidden piece of Hudson Valley's history with eyes on the future. The building on Market Street and Church Street has retained much of its original architecture from the 1900s, making this one of the most authentic and unique historical event venues in the Hudson Valley.

The 1912 is a versatile event space suited for a wide range of events including private events, networking meetings, small ceremonies, intimate functions, weddings and milestone celebrations. In addition to excellent spaces like Barlow Hall, The 1912 offers smaller more intimate spaces as well, which work perfectly for breakout sessions, cocktail parties and sit-down dinners.

Beginning with the founders of Poughkeepsie, The 1912 looks back at its Amrita Club origins while moving into an bright, inclusive future under new ownership ready for your private events and corporate soirees. The 1912 was added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1982.

Barlow Hall

The Barlow Hall space works perfectly as an event space for wedding ceremonies, hosting dinner parties and networking events. Like the Hudson Lounge the space features beautiful hardwood flooring.
